responsibilities
* develop, communicate and deploy plan to ensure goals for quality and environmental management systems are achieved. Ensure compliance to qms and ems.
* provide plant leadership and work with asp (internal or external to the plant as needed) multidisciplinary team to ensure that all customer quality issues are addressed in an effective and efficient manner.
* develop and execute multi-year systematic quality improvement plan to drive significant reductions in customer complaints, yield loss and scrap in the facility.
* engage, from a quality perspective, in all aspects of npd to ensure products are production ramp ready, with no internal or external quality disruptions, at time of sop.
* establish targets for quality metrics. Coordinate communication process to keep all stakeholders (internal and external to the plant) informed about quality and ehs metric performance.
qualifications
* minimum of 10 years of professional experience with 3 of them in a leadership position, preferably in quality or manufacturing engineering.
* expert knowledge of quality tools like apqp, fmea, msa, spc & ppap.
* in-depth understanding of problem solving tools, preferably in 8d and six sigma.
* six sigma green belt training, black belt a plus.
