About the role:we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced ar/ap & payroll specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background and hands-on experience processing hourly payroll in the united states, especially across multiple states. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
this role also requires someone who is sociable, articulate, and comfortable communicating with vendors and internal teams on a regular basis. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential to ensure smooth coordination and timely follow-ups. Key responsibilities:payroll (primary focus): process biweekly and/or weekly payroll for hourly employees in the u.s. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations. Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and garnishments as required. Maintain accurate employee payroll records. Collaborate with hr on employee onboarding/offboarding, timesheets, and benefits. Generate payroll reports and support audits or reporting requests. Accounts receivable (ar): generate and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Track payments and follow up on outstanding receivables. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of billing and collections. Accounts payable (ap): process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals and coding. Schedule and execute payments (ach, wires, checks). Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies. Assist with month-end close by preparing ap reports and reconciliations. English & spanish proficiency bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 2+ years of experience in ar/ap and payroll processing. Strong hands-on experience with u.s. hourly payroll, preferably in multiple states. Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., adp, paychex, gusto, or similar). Proficient in microsoft excel and accounting software (e.g., quickbooks, netsuite, sap). Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new erp platforms or payroll systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Nice to have: experience working with u.s.-based companies or clients. Knowledge of u.s. labor laws, wage & hour rules, and multi-state payroll requirements. Experience with erp systems, such as quickbooks or netsuite. Familiarity with payroll legislation and compliance. Certification in accounting or payroll (e.g., cpa, cpp) is a plus. Awesome benefits for our team!
