position overview
our destination manager will be responsible for leading destination operations, ensuring competitiveness by offering the best products, driving outstanding results from the sales team, and delivering operational excellence through the airport services team. With more than 40 team members under their leadership, the ideal candidate will foster a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
key responsibilities
1. lead and oversee all destination operations (product, sales, and airport services) aligned with our omnichannel strategy.
2. ensure nexustours offers the most competitive products and maintains service excellence.
3. drive the sales team’s performance to achieve or exceed business targets.
4. manage airport operations to ensure seamless processes and exceptional customer service.
5. develop and implement innovative strategies to maintain the destination’s leadership position.
6. focus on numerical analysis and data-driven results to improve operations and profitability.
7. foster a culture of efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
8. mentor, support, and develop talent across all departments to ensure continuous growth.
requirements
1. proven experience leading large teams in a dmc, hospitality, tourism, and/or logistics environment.
2. strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing teams of over 40 employees.
3. customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
4. results-oriented approach with a focus on kpis, metrics, and operational outcomes.
5. innovative thinker with the ability to seize new opportunities and solve challenges.
6. experience in product development and knowledge of the san jose del cabo/cabo san lucas tourism market (preferred).
7. exceptional communication skills in english and spanish.
