*agile lead*
*role purpose.
* *the purpose of the agile lead role is to support all pillars of the strategy, provide value to the business through sprint output and to ensure that continual improvements are a standard part of the pods daily activities, drive cross initiatives and deliver high quality offerings.
agile lead role is to provide servant leadership within a technology delivery pod, ensures the resource capacity management and remains as the change leader / agent, that understands what approach is required to leading a team that delivers the right business value and or outcomes.
also helps unblock impediments, continues to coach the team and ensures the right product value and outcome is delivered to our stakeholders.
*main activities*:
- able to drive cross platform it initiatives.
work with stakeholders across various business functions to deliver high quality offerings.
- ability to liaise with technical teams and senior management and support reporting, observability, and delivery.
- removes impediments to optimize work throughput of the team.
constantly works with the product owner and business analyst to re-prioritize the backlog as and when there are changes in scope or bugs arise or any issues surface.
- facilitates raising of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and escalating relevant ones through the project manager.
helps the team focus on continuous improvement, take responsibility for their actions, and mentors team members to become problem solvers for themselves.
- continually identifies drag on the team's performance, and works with the team or stakeholders to resolve it.
identifies and seeks to minimize waste within the team's processes.
- acting as a servant-leader to the scrum team by ensuring the team adheres to the agile methodology, scrum and safe framework.
- work directly with various stakeholders across multiple geographies, such as product owners, it, and digital teams to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery.
requirements
*requirements*:
- university degree in information technology (computer science) or related area
- solid experience in agile methodologies.
- you will have 3 - 5 years of experience in the role of agile lead / product manager.
- you'll have working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as scrum, kanban, scrumban etc., to deliver solutions
- good knowledge of atlassian tools like jira & confluence.
- manage technology projects for supporting risk analytics business.
- facilitates raising of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and escalating relevant ones to required stakeholders.
ensure risks and issues are managed closely and remove project blockers from the team.
- good communication skills.
ensure awareness, involvement and support from key stakeholders by building strong teams and maintaining robust communications.
eg provide timely update on status report, implementation checkpoints and jira roadmaps etc.
- provide guidance and support to other development engineers in the pod when required.
- ability to multi-task, work under pressure, think analytically and communicate effectively.
- strong skills to lead teams and motivate others to achieve objectives.
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary, and an ability to interact professionally with an array of business users
- responsible for the coaching and leadership responsibilities that enable agile delivery, including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives, reviews and planning events.
- strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills particularly in workshop facilitation and consensus building
- working experience in financial institutions required, preferring in technology area supporting risk analytics
- good budget management.
