*purpose or mission of the role*:
the lead software/platform engineering is the responsible for front to back-end development of one or a set of defined systems, possessing a complete technology stack, process capabilities, and agile modern ways of working.
he/she/they design, develop, and implement solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization's goals and objectives.

*responsibilities and powers*
- lead the it initiatives of the designated it portfolio, working across business and technology to identify the best solution to operationalize requirements, assuring information security needs are considered, overseeing the entire implementation
- assist, organize and/or lead meetings with relevant stakeholders aiming to drive the creation of sustainable technology solutions, which are well aligned with business processes
- develop and maintain it execution plans and with it and business counterparts/stakeholders to ensure adequate progress and timely completion.
this includes defining the implementation scope, resources, timelines, considering technologies and vendors to be onboarded, as needed
- manage and assure appropriate governance of vendors, in the case of saas or solutions involving 3rd party providers
- provide strategic recommendations to the solution being designed, implemented and/or enhanced, assuring proper alignment with architecture, infosec and infrastructure best practices and guidelines
- accountable for the operationalization of any compliance policies and standards around the technology stack and technology landscape of the it portfolio, both when introducing new solutions to the landscape, as well as assuring adherence of existing solutions to the most current policies and guidelines.
this includes manage business expectation, capacity and delivery of technology related vulnerabilities and necessary upgrades.
- might or might not lead a group of external developers who will support on the execution of the defined strategy.
- serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
- has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- acts as sme to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- write and review business technical requirements and technical diagrams, with ability to call out deficiencies and lead discussions with architecture and other teams to come up with best in class solutions.
*requirements and qualifications*
- 5+ years experience in software engineering, including technical lead roles
- bachelor in stem (science, technology, engineering or mathematics)
- advanced, fluent or native in english and spanish
- experience managing senior leadership stakeholders, fostering transparency and a "no-surprises" culture
- strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
