about the role
this senior product designer will focus on our agent customers, specifically on projects within follow up boss (fub). They will support fub through design systems creation and thinking, with an initial focus on native mobile experiences.
this is an opportunity to work on a part of the business that generates a significant portion of zillow's revenue and executes against our top priorities.

responsibilities:
* create and document the design system for follow up boss, as an extension of zillow's existing design system.
* work cross-functionally and with other designers to uplevel the design of all features shipped within follow up boss.
* be a multiplier and a bar-raiser for the team in terms of the quality of our shipped experiences.
* establish cross-functional relationships with product and engineering teams as well as other zxd partners.
* understand our business model and learn about real estate agents and their goals/pain points.
* design digital experiences for web, ios, android, and operator platforms.
* collaborate with product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers.
* propose, test, and evaluate ideas to enhance zillow customer experiences.
* lead design activities like journey mapping, co-design sessions, prototyping, design critiques, and user testing, while managing the design process and project plans.
* facilitate online and in-person workshops with designers and cross-functional teams.
* synthesize qualitative and quantitative metrics to suggest improvements.
* identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance the customer experience incrementally.
* present design work and seek regular feedback from partners.
* advocate for customer needs throughout the design process.
* lead projects independently, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
* contribute, learn, grow, and enjoy the process.
this role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the company.
employees may live in any part of mexico, but preferably in mexico city, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.
about you
we're looking for someone with 5-7 years of experience as a product designer, user experience designer, or similar role.
you should have strong design, organization, project planning and collaboration skills.
a high level of craftsmanship in visual design and interaction design is required.
you should be able to articulate the strategy and benefits to the end user when sharing design decisions.
clear and concise communication about your design process, contributions to projects, and your impact is necessary.
effective partnership with cross-functional teams, managing tradeoffs between business, technical, and user needs, and managing conflicts is also required.
we're looking for someone with extensive experience working with robust, enterprise-level design systems.
experience planning and operating ux design activities for multiple surfaces within large organizations is also necessary.
experience working reliably with diverse, cross-functional teams is required.
experience identifying customer insights through user research and discovery activities is also necessary.
experience developing design strategies that address customer and business problems is required.
experience crafting products and services using human-centered design principles is necessary.
