- good knowledge and understanding of windows server operating system (2012/2016/2019 etc.)
- basic understanding on virtualization concepts (e.g.
: vmware/nutanix - hyperconverged infrastructure)
- basic networking concepts and osi model
- scripting or automation knowledge would be plus (powershell/python etc.)
- physical server hardware knowledge would be plus (hpe/cisco etc.)
- basic idea on monitoring tools, patching tools, backup tools etc.
- good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- basic cloud knowledge on azure/aws/gcp etc.

*as part of your responsibilities you will be required to*:
provide day to day technology directions within windows server os, vmware, physical server hardware, nutanix (hci) platform
maintain global collaboration with the other micron it operations teams, both internal and external to i&o
operational support escalation
incident management and problem management
project execution
maintain ola and sla agreements with other micron business units

*maintain systems.

- maintain systems by keeping them tuned and compliant with company standards for optimum performance and capacity utilization.
- maintain systems with the current os, and software and firmware patches and upgrades.
- maintain standards of operations, such as backups, naming standards, and configurations.
- coordinate planned downtime and software installs of your assigned servers.
- communicate system status and coordinate maintenance activities.
*support day-to-day operations and provide customer support.
*
- provide 24x7 on-call technical support and expertise for customer issues and service provider escalation.
- monitor the environment for potential system issues and resolve appropriately.
- adhere to the change management process for any planned maintenance, or when potential issues are identified.
- coordinate vendor-specific support and problem resolution.
*ensure the operational health (security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability) of micron's core computing resources.

- establish and implement policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure conformance.
- plan and implement strategies for minimizing service outages, and for reducing the impact of such outages on business operations (i.e., availability, contingency, and disaster planning).
- adhere to micron's established processes and policies.
