- review inventory levels and maintain production schedules to ensure product availability.
- manage workload and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- work with purchasing and establish raw material reorder points.
- plan production operation, establishing priorities and sequences for product manufacturing.
- review operational and production reports and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure minimum cost and avoid operational delays.
- participate in meetings with new product launches.
provide input on manufacturing methods and quality control of new.
- inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- takes a hands-on approach as required by daily workload, anticipating order fulfillment as needed.
must be able to provide hands-on training in production area functions.
- ensures shipping and receiving tasks are performed in a satisfactory manner.
- verifies that items are in stock using the computer system.
communicates with buyer/planner if stock appears to be running low due to special orders or unusually high demand for a specific part.
- writes work order instructions for production procedures and trains others accordingly.
ensures that production personnel complete training on all work instructions and quality manual changes within the organization.
- ensures that all quality control standards are consistently maintained in the department and that daily emphasis is placed on quality within the production area.
- produces reports on production operations to assist in improving departmental operational efficiency and to identify possible new methods to improve operations.
- provides solutions manufacturing problems.
- develops or reviews standard operating and work practices and observes workers to ensure compliance.
- create an organizational structure and clearly define the responsibilities of each employee.
- create purchase orders for spare parts, accessories, equipment for their production areas.
experiência y requisitos
- bachelor de degree is required.
- must have experience in medical device manufacturing, fda regulations and knowledge of iso-13485, ehs, iso14001.
- knowledgeable and experienced in the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing such as: 5s's, smed, value stream mapping, kaizen.
- experience in the following equipment: radio frequency machines, molding machines, gas ovens, cnc machines, numerical control fabric cutters, hydraulic and pneumatic presses, plc programming.
- seven to ten years of manufacturing/assembly experience including at least 4 years of supervisory responsibilities.
- ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations and solutions to problems.
- strong written and oral communication skills.
- excellent planning, organizational, supervisory and project management skills.
- must be customer, quality and results oriented.
- knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, warehouse, inventory flow, shipping, and production operating procedures, - advanced computer skills, familiarity with windows, especially excel and word.
- fluent written and spoken english.
