what will your main responsibilities be
* responsible for creating and managing a range of custom and stock 3d components, assemblies, and 2d technical drawings; from concept through to manufacturing design lock.
* responsible for packaging development and implementation of b&w products in mexico. Specifications development, artwork development, plm manage.
* partnering with creative designers, brand, tpl, packaging workstream leader, packaging developers, and supply chain to ensure all requirements are met and risks mitigated in the designs.
* the design engineer will work in close partnership with simulation engineers to develop and validate as much of the design as possible using virtual simulation tools. Owns and manages design best practice and common engineering elements.
* business partnering with key functions like local/regional marketing, supply chain, quality and external manufacturing partners, and our internal pack/technology experts.
what you will need to succeed
experiences & qualifications
* graduate of chemical engineering, industrial design, industrial engineering or additional studies in technology of packing.
* 3-5 years of experience in packaging development r&d / supply chain / quality.
* preference for experience in packaging suppliers, packaging leader or leading innovation projects.
* good interfacing skills with local and international teams.
* full working proficiency in english (written and spoken).
