chief marketing officer (cmo) - d2c, performance-based, ecommerce expert

hourly rate: $30-50/h (open to go up to $55 for the right person)
we are seeking an experienced chief marketing officer (cmo) with a strong background in scaling high-growth ecommerce direct-to-consumer (dtc) brands. The ideal candidate must have recent, hands-on experience with 8-9 figure ecommerce businesses (i.e., $20+ million usd in annual revenue), preferably on the shopify platform.
responsibilities
1. develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.
2. oversee digital marketing initiatives, including seo, ppc, social media, influencer marketing, and email campaigns.
3. lead cross-functional marketing teams and collaborate with product, logistics, and finance departments to align marketing goals with business objectives.
4. optimize marketing channels and campaigns to achieve maximum roi and scalability.
5. leverage shopify and ecommerce tools to enhance customer experience and conversion rates.
6. stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging marketing technologies.
7. foster a data-driven marketing culture focused on analytics and performance tracking.
requirements
1. 5+ years of experience running 8-figure ecommerce creative teams in the usa.
2. proven experience managing a performance-based team.
3. expertise in direct-to-consumer (dtc) ecommerce brands, with experience generating $20+ million/year in revenue.
4. strong experience with meta ads and google ads.
5. experience launching new product lines.

1. some experience in email marketing.
2. experience in international market expansion and localization strategies.
