Job responsibilities
1. develops technical project objectives by drafting maintenance of capex project proposals and plans.
2. determines project specifications in line with operations requirements and performance standards; completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
3. evaluates and validates design alternatives to create optimum designs.
4. certifies the technical accuracy of designs.
5. projects
6. participates as a team member in broad capex assignments or leads project teams in maintenance and capex projects.
7. participates in assigned installation and/or maintenance projects within the project management guidelines.
8. ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
9. monitoring and auditing
10. conducts technical audits and ad hoc monitoring of existing installations and relevant equipment to support the technical availability of the installation.
11. generates reports regarding project/installation status, progress of maintenance and project work, incidents, and updates relevant systems as well as technical documents as required.
12. maintenance and troubleshooting
13. defines maintenance and engineering standards, procedures, and approaches for the assigned area to enhance the quality and availability of the installation.
14. troubleshoots in case of (recurring) malfunctions, problems, or other issues; suggests solutions to prevent malfunctions from recurring.
15. assists in preparing, planning, and scheduling maintenance and project work; supervises (scheduled and non-scheduled) maintenance work, carries out testing, and generates and implements solutions and/or corrective actions to installation and maintenance problems. May actively participate in the execution of the work while supervising.
16. may maintain or supervise inventory management of equipment, parts, and supplies to ensure availability of equipment/spare parts for continuous production.
17. leads maintenance continuous improvement methodologies and best practices such as tpm, spare part management, cost of ownership optimization, supplier tenders in the field of maintenance with purchasing.
18. technical leadership
19. provides technical leadership to a group of (permanently or temporarily) assigned engineers and technicians.
20. stays abreast of the latest developments in maintenance and engineering.
21. acts as a technical consultant on maintenance and engineering; contributes to the development of nutreco technical standards.
22. compliance
23. ensures that all activities are prepared and executed in line with all relevant safety regulations and procedures (work permits, loto, etc.), as well as technical standards, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promotes awareness, including addressing anomalies to others.
24. signals potential hazardous and/or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action in case of imminent unsafe situations.
