We are seeking dynamic and driven business development manager (bdm) to support the attainment of annual volume and revenue targets of the assessment targets by implementing a close commercial & strategic relationship with the exam centres. You will also be responsible for training and supporting the sales team with business opportunities, developing leads and generating new leads of your own.
*about the role*
as bdm, you will be responsible of building and executing a detailed business plan with the market´s key exam centres. Together with the sales director, they will be the commercial face of cambridge with the centres and will work hand in hand with the bdm of each centre to define fy commercial and business development strategies. They will collaborate with our mkt team and the centres´ mkt teams to develop yearly campaigns. Additional key responsibilities are:
- bdms will be responsible, along with the sales director, for the exam strategy for the region. You will be accountable for the elaboration of the business plan for the assessment portfolio, key strategies, pricing, key for growth, risks and opps. You will also be responsible for delivering on revenue growth targets within agreed budgets and being accountable for the account revenues.
Generate, follow up and convert leads for new high value opportunities within the addressable market. The role will involve driving the sales process from planning and prospecting to positioning and closing leads. It will also involve organising and delivering promotional presentations, attending conferences, events, and seminars, identifying, and reporting new business opportunities and providing market intelligence for assessment.ensure the completion of commercial and administrative tasks needed to support the implementation of the sales plan including: providing local market intelligence reports, developing proposal and updating crm.development of relationships with key stakeholders in the territory including institutions, government, and exam centres and for ensuring english products gain maximum recognition in the region, develop and maintain specialist knowledge about our markets, education, assessment and the wider-educational landscape. Create and maintain high level relationships with internal stakeholders, being the voice of the customer.support the sales team with training, detection of business opportunities and with a strong focus on closing high value opps. Due to the size and length of the market, it would be impossible for the bdms to help in every closing stage. Therefore, you will ensure effective and constant communication with the sales leaders (coordinators and managers) to decide where the additional closing support will be required.
- support the sales team with follow up of cambridge english schools. Work towards agreed targets, priorities, and department objectives, keeping up to date and submitting in a timely manner all trip reports diaries, expenses, office forms.
