job description
* responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes as well as ensuring technical availability of equipment in all shifts.
* aim to achieve value stream kpi’s such as relative utilization and internal defect cost by continuously improving supporting kpi’s such as for and technical downtime.
* new product introduction, equipment and process definition, acquisition, validation, and installation in the production environment.
* develop procedures and instructions for technical processes.
* develop training material for process technicians.
* develop maintenance plans for equipment focused on preventive, predictive, and corrective approaches.
production support:
* align all engineering efforts with the corresponding value stream main kpi’s.
* develop procedures, instructions, and training material for tpm.
* responsible for reaching technical availability, cycle time, and defect cost targets for the processes and equipment under his/her responsibility.
* ensure manufacturing process compliance with engineering principles, customer requirements, bosch standards, and process specifications.
* train and instruct production and technical personnel.
* provide support according to the vs shift model.
process and equipment:
* develop and implement tpm (total productive maintenance) instructions, schedule, and provide training to the corresponding tpm technicians.
* develop smed process for changeover standards.
* define the corresponding machine spare and wear parts and register them in the tool crib.
* define, display, and control process parameters as defined in official bosch documents such as dmd’s, vvt’s, vas, etc.
* comply with machine capability and msa standards for the processes under his/her responsibility, considering quality best practices.
* develop and follow a continuous improvement approach (cip).
* define reaction plans and troubleshooting guides for process technicians.
* set standards and methods for process confirmation.
* actively exchange lessons learned with others (e.g., value streams and ipn plants).
* use problem-solving techniques to find root causes for every problem on the process/equipment.
* use project management techniques to manage internal and external projects.
* utilize the bosch production system to establish production and cip best practices.
* participate in pfmea and control plan for assigned processes (new and current).
qualifications
education:
* minimum required education level: bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, electromechanical, mechatronics, or related fields.
* master's degree is preferred.
* bilingual (spanish and advanced english).
* analytical and problem-solving skills.
* ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-functional teams in a global environment.
* excellent communication and negotiation skills.

technical skills:
* knowledge in structured programming according to plc standard iec 61131-3.
* knowledge in beckhoff software and services.
* knowledge in plc programming using structured code.
* experience with visual studio project references and dependencies extensions (required for visual studio plc extension).
* knowledge of connection and programming of local applications (console and windows form).
* knowledge of database connection.
* knowledge of server connection.
* networks and remote connection knowledge.
* basic knowledge in electrical control, pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, mechanical processes, drawings interpretation, traceability, and setup control.
preferred (but not required):
* sql programming experience
* html and css programming experience
