*summary*:
the customer service representative is responsible for administering, processing and tracking orders. Will perform all customer service duties, respond to customer requests, and proactively review the daily order report while maintaining communication with customers.
*main responsibilities*:
- perform a variety of customer transactions such as order entry, processing, and tracking. Accurately and efficiently process transactions and must have knowledge of pricing, order flow, product data and shipping procedures.
- interact with account managers, laboratory and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies/missing information.
- run and monitor the daily open order report. Communicate with planners and dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries. Advise customers about delays if necessary.
- monitor scheduled shipping dates and track order shipments directly with carriers to ensure on-time delivery and expedite as needed.
- constantly seek improved ways to serve internal and external customers. Answer telephone calls promptly while maintaining a high level of telephone service.
