job description
role: java backend development
this position is hybrid in cdmx and gdl.
experience required:
english fluent
6+ years of experience in java backend development
expertise with java 8 or higher.
solid experience in frameworks like spring or spring boot, spring mvc, jpa, hibernate.
development experience in building microservices, specifically with rest, json, and xml.
responsibilities
1. understand requirements and design:
o develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
o investigate problem areas following the software development life cycle.
o facilitate root cause analysis of system issues and problem statements.
o identify ideas to improve system performance and availability.
o analyze client requirements and convert them to feasible designs.
o collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts for detailed investigation into software requirements.
o confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
2. coding and development:
o determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed software.
o develop and automate processes for software validation by setting up and designing test cases/scenarios.
o modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
o ensure that code is error-free and test failures are minimized.
o prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, and status.
o ensure all codes are raised as per the norms defined for the project with clear descriptions.
o compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and reports as requested.
o coordinate with the team on daily project status and progress.
o provide feedback on usability and serviceability.
3. status reporting and customer focus:
o capture all requirements and clarifications from the client for better quality work.
o take feedback regularly to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
o participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices.
o consult with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications.
o document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, and code comments.
o ensure good quality of interaction with customers regarding communication.
o respond timely to customer requests and maintain a record of no complaints.
