summarythe senior specialist supply chain logistics is responsible for coordinating the order processing for drug shipments.
this role is the point of contact to schedule manufacturing, warehouse, and quality for logistic timelines of drug shipment.
about the rolemajor accountabilities: provides cross-functional coordination in the scheduling of tasks around the manufacturing and logistics of individual orders placed for the us commercial, european union, and the rest of the world, including orders associated with early access programs and compassionate use programs.coordinates all sales orders that come from outside supply chain to convert to work orders to trigger manufacturing for pack out.coordinates between quality, warehouse, and manufacturing, being the key contact for any questions around specific orders.enters work orders and transactions, serialization of product, sales order creation on international orders, as well as coordinating all custom invoicing requirements for all international shipments, and supports master data entry and maintenance in erp.schedules third-party courier services to ensure shipment of orders.handles qad transactions and creates sops process.supports clinical trial shipments.minimum requirementsqualifications: bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, science, business, or related area.5 years of experience in managing systems in manufacturing.ability to work on problems.experience with serialization of product.strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.strong supply methodologies.weekend/evening availability.skills:business networkingchange controlflexibilityinventory managementknowledge of gmpoperationsorder managementsupply chain planningsupply planningsupply chain managementwhy novartis:helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science.
