as a strategic sourcing specialist, you will enable the component engineering coe through the enrichment of savings business cases, facilitate reporting, monitor project performance and work closely with the commodity management and project execution teams. You will help your team by team collect requirements, quote with vendors, meet deadlines, track, monitor and summarize progress of projects, and prepare reports for senior leadership regarding the status of a project and business case involved.
*key responsibilities*:
- mine information across a variety of honeywell businesses and teams to build an rfq package. The package may include drawings, part number specs, mpn/ipn, estimated volumes, vendor qualifications, among other requirements to drive productivity for your assigned gbe/commodity.
- execute rfq/eauctions in collaboration with the assigned commodity manager - including set up, monitoring and quote analysis.
- this position will act as sourcing support to build a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas follow up and strong cooperation with procurement organization.
- build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders within different honeywell businesses (gbes)
- escalate project barriers and delays.
- enable and execute critical reporting for the ce coe team, such as monitoring "say/do" performance for executed projects.
- identify and build business case propositions using the defined ce levers and accelerate progress of potential projects within the ideation phase to drive productivity.
- analyze spend data at a part number level to identify cost reduction, standardization, or simplification opportunities. This will include troubleshooting data gaps and data integrity issues.
- other project management & reporting duties as assigned.
*you must have*:
- over +2 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
- solid understanding of rfq process - including the steps and requirements to make an rfq effective and successful.
- ability to interpret/understand engineering drawings
- experience working in global team environment
- demonstrate an analytical mindset and ability to analyze and compare quotes.
- good decision-making; uses analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment in making sound decisions
- strong ms office skills - especially excel.

*we value*:
- bachelor's degree in related field such as industrial engineering, chemical engineering, among others.
- relevant experience within data analytics, including analytical software such as power bi, tableau, python is a plus.
- knowledge in ci tools (i.e. Rrca)
- english fluent, any other language is a plus
- good technical knowledge of procurement/sourcing
- sap ecc proficient within mm modules.
