Your next challenge
merchant acquisition managers are sales professionals who are responsible from adding new merchants to the network. They are continuously looking for potential merchants in the relevant product domains, presenting brs value propositions, and convincing them on the commercial conditions. They can be assigned according to different dimensions such as geography (zone), segment, size of merchants.
- manages new merchant affiliation activity in the assigned region/segment by prospecting retail stores using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
- monitors retail trends in the assigned region/segment, identifying new retail stores / new companies and approaching selected potentials promptly to gain first movers’ advantage
- responds promptly to inbound affiliation requests, with an objective assessment on the merchants' conditions.
- executes the commercial policy for acquiring new merchants, negotiating the right level of commissions
- secures the essential depth of web of influence within the prospective merchant organization when required
- prepares an annual affiliation plan from type, size and geography perspectives indicating commercial targets (rates, fees, commissions) attached
