manages the allotted purchasing tasks for the assigned material groups/categories.
*your tasks/responsibilities*:
- monitors continuously the economical, technical & social market trends & risks for the assigned categories, sub-categories and suppliers (market surveys).
- implements worldwide purchasing strategies for the assigned categories and sub-categories based on customer/ internal stakeholder requirements and market data / trends. Negotiates full congruence of customer terms, conditions and requirements with suppliers and mitigates deviations between the internal and external stakeholders
- executes benchmarks and commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve the customer rfq / project and strategic purchasing objectives.
- identifies and drives implementation of va/ve ideas
- negotiates and implements terms and conditions as well as cash and capital improvement measures with suppliers
- prepares and continuously updates the category statement for customer rfqs / projects
- ensures the compliant supplier onboarding, award and release processes
- concludes relevant supplier contracts (e.g. Framework agreement, service level agreement, quality assurance agreement, including adequate pre-agreements) in the range of assigned responsibility
- manages the assigned global supplier portfolio based on customer & internal stakeholder requirements, including identification and onboarding of new capable suppliers to enhance competition
- derives measures with suppliers to safeguard capacities for the to be delivered goods and services.
- manages escalations with suppliers, especially in events seriously endangering leoni production and/or deliveries to the customers (e. g. material allocation, late delivery of material, goods or services)
- recovers non-conformance and non-performance costs from suppliers (in escalation).
- monitors and reports the allotted kpis and develops and implements adequate measures to resolve deviations.
- supports clarification of invoice discrepancies on prices, terms and conditions, triggered by accounting.
- meets suppliers regularly to exchange information and to tackle actual topics, including regular on-site visits at the suppliers to stay up-to-date with their technology
- supports on special tasks based on upper level decision
- adheres to all applicable wsd processes, company guidance and legal requirements
- prepares rfqs for standard and design parts, negotiates part price and tooling cost to reach the project targets, initiates the sourcing committee, organize the kick-off meeting and monitors the development of the design parts

*your profile*:
- bachelor´s degree on industrial engineering or similar.
- at least 3 years of experience in a similar role (logistics, supply chain, purchasing)
- strong attention to detail, ability to concentrate and analyze complex situations, reliability, willingness to learn, humility.
- business fluent language skills in english; additional language skills are an advantage.
