senderos school (mérida, yucatán) is looking for a highly skilled english speaker to teach children aged 3 to 9 years old!

* senderos is a small-size school located in yucatán’s cultural capital of mérida, a beautiful place to live, with senderos located close to the city center.
* we are looking for *preferably full-time* english teachers who have experience teaching children in the 3-9 year-old age group; who are creative in their teaching; who demonstrate patience and a strong desire/vocation to work with children; who demonstrate strong planning ability; who know how to search for information in reliable sources; who know how to teach using a curriculum plan; and who feel comfortable both working in a team as well as working independently. (if you are interested in part-time, we would still be open to speaking with you about possibilities.)
* applicants should have a b.a. or a master’s degree related to the education field, and an english certificate if you are not a mother tongue speaker.
* senderos offers a competitive salary, continuous training including certifications for professional development such as: circle of security international training, dir floortime, and cognitively-based compassion training, along with a positive work environment.
* candidates who have experience or knowledge in special education (or who are interested in learning more about special education) will receive strong consideration.
* we follow an international educational curriculum, but it is important that the teacher knows how to expand learning topics through play.
* our focus is on the ways in which each child learns by using all senses, as well as on strengthening relational bonds between parents, teachers, and children.
* we are accredited by the icdl (international council on learning and development) as the first dir (development, individual differences and relationships) 'floortime' school in mexico, an accreditation that signals our strive to bring inclusive learning to all children.
* position must start by may-june 2025. Teachers should be receiving professional development before the academic year 2025-2026 starts.
