the materials planner coordinator is responsible for supporting the development of siemens energy materials management department. Ensure the delivery of product in quantity, mix and timeliness, maintaining control of warehouses and inventories, monitoring the follow-up of strategies to increase the profitability of the organization through continuous improvement.
the ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, negotiation, procurement, materials management & warehouse. Be in constant communication with suppliers, visit & evaluation suppliers. Identification of problems (root cause, action plan and monitoring of compliance). System update of reports/incidents derived from the findings to the supplier.
how you’ll make an impact
1. coordinate materials planners’ team. Effective teams supervision, task delegation and develop the internal team.
2. establish strong working relationships and networking with key areas to negotiate and source raw and indirect materials (r&d, quality area, engineering, manufacturing, cs, purchasing, logistics, production)
3. coordinate the proper reception of materials according to requirements to timeline, forecast and sales.
4. control of parameters into the system (sap) in order to release orders on time.
5. coordinate the material handling to avoid excess and obsolete materials.
6. maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
7. coordinate the follow up material process.
8. implement improvements in planning process and production plan.
9. ensure compliance with customer requirements.
10. handle raw material transportation damage claims and disposition.
11. correspond and communicate with suppliers for any updates regarding orders and/or products.
12. develop and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers and partners.
13. lead daily production meeting to review all incoming shipments and product needs.
14. collaborate with operations and sales teams to research and identify inventory discrepancies, in a timely manner.
15. follow-up to supplier kpis
16. risk management, identify, escalates and lead risks associated with logistics operations.
17. ability to work effectively with others and be participative as a team player.
18. must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
what you bring
19. bachelor´s degree in industrial engineering, international trade or related
20. 3 to 5 years of experience with people management in materials, planning or logistics.
