position overview:
as cook b, you will actively support the preparation of dishes during service, along with the rest of the kitchen brigade. Responsibilities include sanitization, receiving, organizing, cleaning, preparing, and producing food, along with all related activities.
knowledge and skills
education:
* high school education
experience:
* minimum of 6 months required experience in the position
* experience in luxury hospitality (desirable)
skills:
* understanding and familiarity with hotel quality and service standards
* ability to speak, write, and read spanish.
* highest level of integrity and transparency
* apply an ethical approach to outcomes in situations.
* reasonable problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
* work safely, prudently, and in an organized manner
master your craft
* ensure hygiene and organization of the workspace, materials, and supplies prior to any food handling.
* assist in the preparation (misen place) assigned.
* support in executing recipes/processes diligently and ask for assistance when in doubt.
* assist in food preparation during service with cleanliness, urgency, and discipline.
* actively support the organization of all food storage spaces.
* check that supplies are in optimal condition.
* have your mise en place ready with the required quality prior to food service.
