*key responsibilities*
- financial management & reporting_
- maintain accurate books for multiple entities, ensuring proper financial reporting and reconciliations.
- assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- ensure compliance with accounting standards in the us (gaap) and mexico (nifs).
- support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- work within the erp system (odoo preferred) to enhance financial tracking and reporting.
- accounting operations_
- manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- oversee intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- assist in implementing internal controls for efficient financial processes.
- ensure proper documentation and organization of financial records.
- cash flow & budgeting_
- support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- monitor spending and assist in budget variance analysis.
- assist in operational budget tracking to align with project needs.
- process improvement & cross-functional coordination_
- collaborate with sales, logistics, and operations teams to improve financial processes.
- contribute to the development of best practices for financial operations in a startup environment.
- support the ceo with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
*qualifications*
- required skills & experience:_
- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial management (startup experience is a plus but not required).
- strong understanding of gaap and nifs accounting standards.
- experience with financial software or erp systems (odoo preferred but not required).
- proficiency in excel for financial modeling and reporting.
- adaptability and willingness to take on a broad range of responsibilities.
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- fluency in english required.
