*main responsibilities*:
- *reception and scheduling of patients*:
- meet patients upon arrival and check them in.
- scheduling and confirming patient appointments, both in person and by phone or online.
- manage the appointment calendar efficiently and assist walk-in patients.
- *administrative support*:
- maintain and update patients' medical records in the electronic health system.
- prepare and process insurance claims, billing, and payment collection.
- assist in the management of medical supplies and office inventory.
- *patient assistance*:
- provide patients with information about clinic services and answer general questions.
- assist patients in filling out necessary forms and ensuring proper documentation is collected.
- help manage patient flow, ensuring mínimal waiting times and efficient service.
- *medical records management*:
- manage patient records and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive patient information, complying with clinic policies.
- use the patient portal to update records, schedule appointments, and process patient requests.
- *general office duties*:
- perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and scanning.
- keeping the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming to patients.
*requirements*:
- high school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical office administration is preferred.
- previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
- proficiency in the use of electronic medical record (emr) systems and microsoft office.
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in both english and spanish.
