About the role
uber freight is looking for experienced professionals in the sales department with a background in the business development field. Our specialists will be responsible for closing and implementing business opportunities with new and existing customers to meet/ exceed his/her individual goals. This role will prospect new and potential customers according to uber freight's solutions & services portfolio while providing excellent customer service to our customers.
What the candidate will do
- identify, develop, and close on new business.
- follow up and implement uber freight's sales methodology
- represent uf in a professional way with customers outside of our facilities.
- face-to-face and virtual calls with potential customers.
- communicate customer needs to product leaders, operations, and pricing experts.
- develop and deliver value proposals to customers.
- persuade prospects customers to utilize uf as their preferred logistics provider.
- usage of sales force every day/ week to keep a record of activities, manage active opportunities, won and lost opportunities, and sales leads, properly record the size of opportunities, dates, and access and resolve issues with upper management.
Basic qualifications
- 4- 5 years of customs service experience knowledge
- 3-4 years of business development experience
- bachelor's degree may be substituted for work experience requirements
- industry expertise-logistics industry knowledge, including key terminology; and general knowledge of primary customer industries.
- excellent english language skills - verbal and written
preferred qualifications
- knowledge of freight industry
- knowledge of microsoft tools-ability to leverage powerpoint excel and other ms programs, including word, outlook, lync, etc.
- knowledge of the customer's business-knowledge and understanding of the customer product, understand customer service needs and translate them into solutions, speak the customer's language and understand the customer's key service measures, etc.
- extensive travel is not required; however, availability is required
