be at the forefront of ford's transformation! we are looking for a transition model manager to drive the crucial process of aligning our current state product data with our future state vision. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage cutting-edge ai technologies to revolutionize how we manage and transform our data landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data transition methodologies, proven experience with ai model development and implementation, and a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams. The transition model manager will be responsible for creating intelligent models that can automatically map and translate data between legacy and future state systems, minimizing human intervention and ensuring data integrity.
responsibilities:
* manage a global team of data specialists.
* analyze legacy product direction letter (pdl) documents and identify key data elements.
* differentiate between relevant and irrelevant data points within legacy systems.
* understand the desired future state data structure and requirements.
* understand future state data objects and their attributes.
* develop ai-powered models to automatically map current state data elements to future state elements.
* create ai models that read and interpret various data sources (e.g., pdls, datasets) to identify and translate data.
qualifications:
* 12-18 years of relevant experience in data transition and ai model development.
* deep understanding of various data elements and data architectures.
* experience with data transition methodologies and frameworks.
* ability to design logical constructs for ai-powered data transformation.
* bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, data science, engineering).
* experience managing complex data transformation projects.
* significant experience in an engineering & manufacturing environment (preferred).
* understanding of product development processes and data requirements.
* ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
* excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* experience with data modeling and analysis techniques.
* experience with plm systems and data migration (a plus).
* experience with digital transformation initiatives involving data migration and ai.
