a senior generalist lawyer with a privacy focus for a company entering mexico provides comprehensive legal advice and support to facilitate the company's entry and operations in the mexican market, with a particular emphasis on privacy compliance.
*responsibilities*:
- market entry strategy: assisting in developing the company's legal strategy for entering the mexican market, including legal structuring, regulatory compliance, and privacy considerations;
- legal due diligence: conducting legal due diligence reviews to identify and assess legal risks associated with the company's entry into mexico, including compliance with privacy laws and regulations;
- regulatory compliance: ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including privacy laws, during the company's establishment and ongoing operations in mexico;
- privacy compliance: advising on privacy laws and regulations in mexico, such as the federal law on protection of personal data held by private parties, and guiding the company in developing and implementing privacy policies and procedures to protect personal data and ensure compliance;

*qualifications and skills*:

- proven track record of 7 years in a generalist lawyer role, preferably with experience in mexico and the latin american market;
- in-depth knowledge of mexican labor laws, regulations, and best practices;
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization;
- strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues;
- fluency in both english and spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
