The sr import export analyst will provide support in maintaining an import / export logistics operation door to door process. She/he will interact with internal and external partners at all levels and will work both independently and with other members of the sourcing, customer care and other departments on a variety of import/export compliance related activities to ensure compliance and minimize associated risk to the company while supporting business growth goals.
*primary responsibilities*
- supports the international trade org on day-to-day import / export activities
- works with intl trade coordinator to address import / export process inquiries and/or audits
- assists with product classification: harmonized tariff schedule (hts)
- supports the preparation of international shipping documentation and facilitates shipments to foreign customers focusing on door to door process.
- support programs and projects that take advantage of free trade agreements (including management of certificates of origin) and other duty-savings opportunities.
- oversee recordkeeping requirements for related activities in accordance with company’s trade compliance strategy and policy
- assists with the maintenance of broker due diligence and self-assessment program
- analyzes reports and metrics pertaining to various elements of import / export processes
- performs other duties and projects as required
- sustains active participation in continuous improvement efforts
- provide customs training as appropriate
- review customs legislation:
- communicate changes important for the business
- adapt business processes to the new legislation

- bachelor degree preferred
