Position summary: the casino cashier receives andexchanges cash and coins, chips and checks, credit and/or othermonetary notes for guest enjoying the casino by performing thefollowing duties and responsibilities.
hiring requirements: - twoyears cash handling experience in a customer contact positionwithin the hotel banking, casino or related industry.
(shipboardexperience preferred) - proven customer service skills to interactappropriately with guests in a considerate, professional andpositive manner by showing concern and listening actively.
-ability to communicate tactfully with guest, department heads andshipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.- ability to count chips and paper currency quickly and accurately.- ability to operate coin counters, chip mechanism, 10 key addingmachine and related equipment.
- ability to perform basic mathfunctions with regard to counting chips, cash, coins and preparingreconciliation reports.
- working knowledge of computers, internetaccess and the ability to navigate within a variety of softwarepackages such as excel and word.
- completion of high school orbasic education equivalency preferred.
- recognize and possess theability to count coins and paper currency in us dollars quickly andaccurately.
