*job description*:the ehs engineer works with the site's operations, quality, continual improvement, and human resources functions to ensure our employees are safe and healthy by ensuring the effective implementation of chromalloy's safety & health management.
supports the ehs manager in maintaining compliance with ehs regulations.
*responsibilities*:- lead the investigation of all high actual/potential incidents and facilitate the root cause/corrective action (rcca) with all key individuals within the site, and report findings as per the incident management process.- teach training courses in conjunction with the training department- evaluate the effectiveness of and participate in department safety inspections.- evaluates the work conditions, with the interactions with the machinery and equipment, the environment and ppe used to carry out the activities in thru the departments.- provide support for medical and industrial hygiene programs.
work closely with human resources and operations teams on pre-employment fitness for duty and return-to-work program evaluations prepares reports and memos.- verify the effective management of hazardous wastes to ensure legal compliance- coach department leaders to create a culture of safety excellence- collect and report information on hazardous and non- hazardous waste and report it to ehs manager monthly.

*qualifications*:- bachelor's degree in industrial, chemical, bioengineering or related engineering.- 3-5 years in similar position- experience in industrial manufacturing (preferred in aerospace companies, but not required)- english (80% written and spoken).- ability to communicate effectively.- knowledge of ms office packages (excel, word, power point., access), project management, ability to direct, motivate and influence others to achieve.
