description
the marketing director will work in partnership with hq and the country manager to develop, manage, and execute the strategic direction of all brands (monster energy and strategic).
they will ensure structured alignment to the brand's global marketing standards, objectives, strategies, and philosophies.
this individual will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing marketing programs, launch activities, event management, sales promotions, partner portal management, communications, budget, and business growth abroad and ensure it is aligned with the u.s. model.
this role will require close collaboration with the global marketing teams, region marketing managers, international and local sales teams and distribution partners, product management and supporting departments to accelerate all monster brand and business development across the territory.
the marketing director will integrate key brand platforms - action sports, gaming and music & lifestyle into key sales initiatives to leverage and build brand awareness for monster energy through diligent trade marketing and integrated digital leverage platforms.
*essential job functions*:
- oversee planning, creating, implementing, and measuring the success of comprehensive marketing,
communications and public relations programs that will enhance monster energy's sales, image, and position within the marketplace.- responsible for the achievement of marketing goals and financial objectives.
ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the sr. Marketing director and senior management team.

- work with senior staff and department staff to develop and maintain a strategic perspective and ensure timely execution of all strategies, projects, programs, and tactics.
- plan and coordinate organizational activities, establishing priorities and timelines to meet designated goals and objectives at both the regional and country level, leading the local marketing teams and facilitating internal and external communications between key stakeholders.
- maintain a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates personnel in each market, and recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, and guide qualified personnel to further monster energy's image and goals.
- responsible for representing the distributor's concerns and requirements at business reviews and marketing / trade marketing meetings.

event execution
- execute all events at all levels, including grassroots brand events that are relevant to monster energy, reign and burn brands & our key targeted consumers.
2.
relationship development
- entrench yourself & monster energy portfolio in the local sport & culture scenes relevant to key targeted consumers.
develop & maintain relationships with opinion leaders in your market for the key image building scenes in sport, gaming, music & culture.
with local network of opinion leaders, develop new ideas that bring the brand to life through local image building scenes in sport, music & culture.
3.
innovation and idea development - ideas are spawned on the ground at events during interaction with opinion leaders.
these ideas will be retained and shared and tested for potential with marketing team.
4.
activate monster energy and all brands events & properties
- activate & leverage global, national & regional events & properties that fit within established local market business plan -leverage local media merchandising opportunities.
5.
branding
- ensure that all branding/ logo use is acceptable at least at all events and activations and is approved and under the direction of the director of marketing.
6.
event sampling-carry out large scale, event-based product sampling operations.
7.
budget control
- control and assure efficient spending of assigned budget in the region.
8.
social media - grow social media fans in facebook &twitter through different activities or promotions and develop branded content videos with athletes / ambassadors working closely with digital / pr manager.
9.
promotional items - search different promotional to increase sales.
manage promotional items inventory & logistics to maximize brands' exposure.
10.
manage athletes, ambassadors and partners to have best performance and brand awareness amplification through earned and paid media (contracts, management, 360 plans).
11. International npd - review new product development cases and collect signatures.
12.
imported brand items/gears - work directly with licensing and apparel corporate team and determine what premium items are relevant to the region to increase sales.
