*about this job*
the primary responsibility for the automation and technical specialist is to assist in the execution of complex research projects focusing on advanced programming and data processing preparation and quality control. They will consult with internal clients help to create tailored solutions meeting internal and external client needs and will work with our product development teams and global ci operations team to develop and maintain standard templates and processes (for solutions like smart products, and other needs as they arise) as well as develop efficiencies for these products.
*responsibilities*
- advanced programming which mainly consists of converting written questionnaires from microsoft word documents into current field software (e.g. Decipher). Ensure all checks and balances are completed prior to launching a study and troubleshoot issues should they arise.
- data processing and preparation and quality control for assigned projects. Processing the data to create client output and undertaking quality control measures to ensure the accuracy of the final data, in accordance with stipulated analysis plans.
- creates tools that increase efficiency and quality.
- assist in the training and development of junior staff.
- responsible for updating research operations processes and documentation as needed for new methodologies developed by research teams and client solutions/product development team.
- collaborate with ci ops counterparts to enhance and maintain the global decipher template and incorporate north america specific requirements (including isq standards).
- communicates any potential opportunity identified with objective to reduce cost, reduce cycle time and or increase quality of work to operations leadership.
*requisitos*:
- university degree in a market research related program (applied social science / mathematics-statistics, computer science) or equivalent/related field is an asset
- 3+ years’ direct work experience within market research
- proficient in ms office: word, excel, and outlook & g-suite (or similar programs)
- expert knowledge of programming languages such as python, r, xml, or similar.
- expert knowledge of decipher or similar survey programming platforms
- solid understanding of boolean logic
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- superior interpersonal and communication skills
- excellent verbal and written communication in english
