As a head of quality laboratories, you will be responsible for 3 laboratories: liquid paint, ecoat pretreatment, and powder. You will ensure the quality indicators, guaranteeing standardization, calibration, and maintenance through continuous improvement.

key responsibilities
* implement a strategy to promote the broader goals of the sub-function through the work of the professional staff.
* recommend changes in policies and establish procedures that affect the sub-function.
* develop the documentation required by the quality systems (iso/ts 16949:2009 and iso 9001:2008) applicable to the area, to comply with our integrated quality system.
* plan and manage laboratory budgets to determine capacity, manage use, and maintain maximums and minimums.
* ensure compliance with maintenance, calibration, and r&r analysis programs.
* ensure the feasibility of new projects, being the link between the teams to determine the capacity of the laboratories, lead the projections of the layout of laboratories, and the administration of new spaces.
* participate in advanced quality planning activities to ensure that all processes are with care for specific customer requirements and ensure compliance.
* manage the training of processes, procedures, and work instructions that apply to the area, and in continuous improvement methodologies and analysis, to ensure that the staff has the necessary tools to perform their work and is aware of the importance of complying with customer specifications.
* maintain quality lab software and programs, ensuring the elimination of tests that do not contribute to internal processes.
* be the link between the technical laboratory and quality leaders in the validation and homologation of methods, for all customer requirements to ensure that the material that is approved meets the product specifications and aligns with the customer and corporation.
* ensure that all standards used in the area are certified and comply with the defined specifications (msa), to ensure the reliability of the measurements made, as well as the availability of calibrated equipment.
* assign measurement equipment according to the needs of the area, to have the necessary instruments and in the conditions specified in the control plans, to perform the corresponding dimensional quality tests.
* approve and follow up on corrective actions taken by the area to solve detected problems and verify the effectiveness of these actions to ensure that the materials produced are compliant.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in engineering.
* advanced english.
* 4+ years of experience in quality engineering activities (desirable in automotive and/or chemical industry).
* knowledge of iso/ts16949, iso 9001/iatf standard.
* internal auditor based on iso 19011.
* handle core tools.
* lean manufacturing.
* knowledge of iso iec 17025.
* knowledge of good laboratory practices.
* interpret bulk material specifications.
