*job summary*:
the supervisory control and data acquisition (scada) engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying scada systems using ignition in automotive manufacturing environments. You will assist in defining and deploying the corporate standard scada solution to new manufacturing lines. You will support various teams of engineers and technical personnel in developing, training, and troubleshooting tasks. Requirements include integrator, end user (plant) and contractor coordination. The senior engineer - scada will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
*required education and experience*:
- stem degree with minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/automation, tooling, & program management.
- experience with python, react, vue, java, c++, docker, flask, fastapi, mqtt, and reverse proxy solutions.
- allen bradley, siemens, and omron plc experience
- robot programming experience (preferable fanuc)
- database development and management experience
- process engineering knowledge or experience.
- program management experience.
- understanding and experience with it networking infrastructure
- previous working experience with edge devices
- fluent in microsoft office (excel, word, and powerpoint)
- working knowledge of cad software (autocad, solidworks, catia, ug)
- must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
- must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively, take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, systems, operations, and field personnel.

*essential functions*:
- develop corporate standards, scope of work, design criteria and project standards.
- provide expertise on best practices for integrating large scale scada systems using inductive automation's ignition.
- contracting and managing 3rd party integrators for deployment of scada networks.
- troubleshooting scripts, sql queries, opc connection issues, network issues, etc.
- prioritizing tasks on time requirement and urgency
- investigating siemens and allen bradley plc code to understand and improve the data being sent to scada
- design, develop, and integrate andon vision screens and perspective screens.
- communicate and collaborate with other functional managers
