your role and responsibilities
in this position, you will head up several engineering teams within process automation energy industries, ensuring delivery of a portfolio of projects, as well as guiding and coaching the engineering team, and developing their skills and knowledge. In this role, you will drive team performance to ensure that all requirements are met and customer expectations are exceeded, with a focus on safety, on-time delivery, quality and improved margins. The work model for the role is: #li-hybrid. This role is contributing to the process automation business unit. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. building and maintaining customer relationships, seeking feedback and providing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver improvements.
2. driving new business, targeting new opportunities and capitalizing on attendance at conferences and client events by presenting new technology and innovations.
3. creating and implementing plans to identify and minimize business risks, and to maximize opportunities.
4. working with procurement and logistics to ensure that suitable suppliers, services and equipment are available to assist the engineering team.
5. developing, implementing and improving processes, policies and procedures to increase effectiveness across the engineering function.
6. overseeing the completion of risk and opportunity assessments, and overseeing the implementation of resulting actions.
7. creating financial plans and budget estimates for engineering team, and overseeing execution of plans to ensure that targets are met.
qualifications for the role
* bachelor's degree in automation and control, electrical, mechanical engineering or related.
* 10+ years of experience working in engineering management positions or related.
* experience managing verifiable engineering teams.
* knowledge in dcs, plc, scada, epc.
* fluent english and spanish level.
