Job summary
we are seeking a highly skilled process application specialist with experience in the steel industry to join our team. As a process application specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing and improving lamination processes in our organization and at customer locations when needed. Your role will involve analyzing and troubleshooting specific manufacturing processes, designing and implementing process improvements, overseeing large scale projects, and ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the die cast production line.
this is a remote position requiring travel availability to customers' sites and company offices/laboratories for required meetings.
what will you do:
1. provide highly specialized in-depth knowledge of customer specific processes and application procedures for our products.
2. provide technical support to the sales force, handling all technical issues related to product application referred from the field and work closely with marketing and sales/key account management.
3. development and implementation of guidelines regarding equipment and test methods.
4. drive improvement initiatives and cost saving projects that show the customer the value we offer through our services and product technology.
5. ensure service is delivered by providing chemical-technical assistance, participating in field tests.
6. propose improvements to customer equipment.
7. generate technical reports and audits of product application and customer process related items.
8. ensure proper use of our products by making appropriate recommendations.

what do we look for:
1. bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or a related field is preferred.
2. minimum of 5 years of industry experience in area of focus: steel.
3. strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve process-related issues.
4. excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
5. detail-oriented and highly organized to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. customer focus – dedicated to meeting customer expectations and requirements.
7. working knowledge of microsoft office with ability to generate reports as needed.
