Director of sales
location: cancun, mexico
if you are results-driven, self-motivated, poised, and a go-getter, join our band! We are growing and are looking for a director of sales and business development to join our sales team in cancun (zona hotelera) for our business unit reserv (booking engine). This is a position where you will be responsible for owning all new customer acquisition for a specific territory/client type.
this position requires astute attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize. This position will report to the chief revenue officer. This position is an individual contributor role with some coaching duties.
what you will be doing
1. ultimate accountability for the successful sale of all tambourine products into mexico territory.
2. expected to qualify inbound leads as well as generate outbound demand via individual prospecting efforts and directing the efforts of the business development counterpart.
3. coordinate with the marketing team to optimize promotional efforts within the segment.
4. participate in the field up to 25% of the time, representing the company at trade shows or prospecting/selling on-site.
5. meet or exceed performance/quota expectations consistently.
what we need from you
1. a demonstrated ability to problem-solve, manage perception, and develop operational solutions at a very high level.
2. strong analytical and reporting skills.
3. proficient to advanced knowledge of excel.
4. professional communication skills (written and verbal).
5. must have minimum 8 years work experience.
6. saas or digital solutions - sales to hotels.
7. 5+ years in direct b2b sales and prospecting.
8. bilingual - spanish/english.
9. work in person at our cancun office.
preferred but not required:
1. salesforce certification.
2. proficiency in mac os.
3. proficiency in ms office, excel, powerpoint/keynote.
