join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.what you will experience in this position:operations leadership:assures a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions.take charge of and manage all production resources to ensure the fulfillment of all agreed-upon critical metrics (kpis).responsible for the execution of the production plan of your plant.establish manufacturing strategy that supports overall central initiatives.define manufacturing improvement goals and supporting programs to reduce setup, improve productivity and quality, reduce manufacturing cycle time, lower conversion costs, minimize machine downtime and achieve on-time delivery.implement cost reduction programs and reengineer existing processes to reduce the manufacturing cost of sales.develop and maintain a highly motivated workforce through training and employee development programs in each of the assigned areas of responsibility to elevate the skill level of employees, as well as provide flexibility in a multi-functional workforce environment.lean/manufacturing:actively participate in process improvement activities via lean as well as root cause analysis of safety, quality, delivery, and/or cost abnormalities.identify, design, & implement process improvements including machine, die, and tooling design & fabrication/acquisition.evaluate process for automation opportunities.work directly with the site lean leader as well as other site leadership in implementing lean enterprise principles consistent with spark.develops, writes, and implements capital equipment requests.owns the execution of the total productive maintenance process, ensuring the workforce follows tpm process, while advising on improvement opportunities.compliance:assures a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing risk identification for the prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions.maintains compliance with site environmental permits as well as hazardous waste disposal.general:directly supervises, coaches and develops production supervisors in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws assuring a safe and productive environment.may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.you have:bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related.
an mba or equivalent experience is helpful.7+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment (metal mechanic).7+ years of direct leadership experience is required.must be fully bilingual - c2.power bi experience is helpful.knowledge in manufacturing practices including lean principles, inventory management, production scheduling and control, resource planning, budgeting and cost control
