tender manager will support proposal activity for grid solutions and will strategize execution plan by ensuring strong costing and risks for the bids submitted! The role will require close coordination and teamwork with business development, engineering, procurement and project management functions during the acquisition phase of assigned projects.
how you’ll make an impact
1. develop sales proposals for grid solutions high voltage substation projects (gas insulated switchgear (gis) and air insulated switchgear (ais)) to resolve proposal feasibility and ensure competitiveness in the epc market.
2. develop, edit, and write original proposal responses and other sales-related documents.
3. develop and maintain thorough knowledge of assigned industry structure, applications, terminology, trends, and issues.
4. discover and understand customers’ primary business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements.
5. align and apply entire scope of siemens energy products, solutions, and services to meet the customers’ business goals.
6. validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solutions offered in the bids.
7. work closely with supply chain to collaborate sub supplier quotes.
8. display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
9. understand the grid solutions utility market as it relates to customer requirements, opportunities, and competition.
what you bring
10. minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
11. bs in electrical engineering preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
12. 5 or more years of experience in a related field. Experience with grid solutions utilities preferred. Knowledge of customers and competitors preferred.
13. experience with setting up and completing self-perform work.
14. record of building and delivery of large programs.
15. proven discernment in balancing customer and business requirements,, operational, financial, strategic, and tactical thinking, etc.
16. technical and business type verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
17. inherent ability to work optimally in a team environment and strong desire to win.
18. organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
19. ability to travel as business requires.
