job summary
the manager, payer liaison will be responsible for generating value for the organization by supporting the construction and communication of value propositions according to its area of responsibility (business unit) for key stakeholders in the public sector.
The incumbent ensures adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company standard operating procedures (sops) as appropriate.
Essential functions- link clinical, epidemiological and economic information, detecting needs in institutions for systematic access to treatments in our therapeutic areas, providing support in the correct patient profile description for both doctors and institutional administrators, and also within ptc.- adapt the value proposition to different payers and environments- provide information on processes and insights that contribute to the strategies and value-added proposals that can be adopted at the central levels of the institutions (whether they involve psps, training, donations, platforms, etc.).- monitoring the healthcare and economic policy environment for detecting early warning signs that can inform critical business decisions which impact on sustained access strategies.- guarantee patient access to our therapies with payer accounts, continually evaluating needs, medical education and required information requests.- understand accurately the scientific needs of payers.- map stakeholders involved in patient profiling decisions (control towers or cost containment) of the different central institutions, as well as complete understanding of the processes.- maintains an active agenda with important stakeholders to access different accounts.- develop and maintain a strong collaborative working relationship across functions within the organization, particularly with market access and medical sciences liaison colleagues as well as with key payers in charge of patient profiles.- investigate and analyze potential access barriers for vendors and patients.-
- lead patient profiling of government key accounts in cross-functional collaboration, ensuring delivery and achievement of sustained patient access.
Requirements:
- degree preferably in medicine or health disciplines and/or in economic disciplines- experience in market access working in a pharmaceutical company is very desirable- advanced knowledge of institutional processes and in the integration of comprehensive value propositions for public institutions- comprehensive understanding in the areas of epidemiology, medicine, clinical research; as well as health policies and systems- demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment, working independently and collaboratively in diverse teams- broad vision to identify business opportunities from access topics- intermediate english level is required (both written and oral)- demonstrated knowledge of current reimbursement trends and effectiveness in communicating with access decision makers.- high analytical capacity aimed at identifying and solving diverse problems- ability to make assertive accounts diagnoses and develop an action plan based on that.- excellent planning, organization and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects.
