Job description - scope analyst (250002v)scope of position:the scope analyst will be the initial point of contact who holds oversight to the central inbox of requests for project quotations to the business unit of responsibility. The scope analyst will be relied upon to handle requests that come in based on specific regions of responsibility but will also be relied on to provide coverage in any vacant regions. The call to action for the analyst will be to intake, review, program salesforce crm, download documents, assess project details and requirements, and deny or advance projects by scheduling tasks for estimating or takeoff groups to proceed with quote creation. Data integrity and accuracy will be a primary responsibility of the scope analyst, ensuring that all populated data is as full, complete, and accurate as possible to drive useful data sets for management review.essential duties and responsibilities:to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, including but not necessarily limited to the following:serve as the first point of interaction for all incoming project quotation needs pertaining to the business unit of responsibility.continuously train, learn, and develop a firm understanding to the definitions of key data points within the company’s crm (salesforce.com).assess the requirements of the request and compare the content of the request to data driven conclusions that would conclude whether the request should be handled or denied.organize all incoming requests into salesforce using cs naming, project, opportunity, and quote standards.ensure that organization of data is as accurate as possible, as this is a key element to the success of the scope analyst role.identify the size/scope of the project and schedule accordingly to the appropriate takeoff or estimating resource associated to the product of need.communicate frequently with the requestor of the quotation to inform them of the status of their request.ensure an even distribution of scheduled tasks and ensure the timeframes to completion are appropriate.continuously learn the elements and definitions that conclude the data in which the scope analyst is responsible for entering.keeps an awareness of data trends and executes on new policies/processes/procedures that management deems appropriate based on such data trends.benchmarks processes amongst counterparts in other business units.works in tandem with counterparts to seek efficiencies in the current process.periodically prepares quote/pricing proposals as needed, or in times of overflow.performs other responsibilities as needed.qualifications:strong organizational skills.detail-oriented.very customer centric in mind and actions (both verbally and via email correspondences).strong at interpreting ambiguous data based on documented definitions and processes.estimating experience within same product lines required.associate’s degree and/or 1-3 years of related construction industry experience.demonstrated knowledge in reading/interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.knowledge in design basics, construction documents and fabrication methods preferred.architectural drafting background or related material take-off experience helpful.ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload and schedule effectively.communication skills necessary to work effectively with both internal and external customers including contractors, sales reps, and manufacturing personnel.proficient in microsoft office (outlook, excel, word).
