Position purpose
the content specialist programmer is an experienced consultant that will work with the content team to develop automated reports that support their daily activities, contributing to increased sales. The content specialist programmer also serves as a software developer responsible for the creation, maintenance, and application of technical tools that support planogramming and visual merchandise operations.
primary accountabilities
* work with ba at btssc team for the definition, development, and update of new reports for the content team and category managers.
* develop and maintain a new tool where content's kpis can be supervised.
* participate in any and potentially all roles of the systems development life cycle, developing tools, websites, the batch engine, the space automation tool, and interfaces with jda space planning. This may include, but is not limited to: developing and/or maintaining software applications, writing documentation, providing production support, ensuring accurate work planning and execution, gathering requirements, and developing formal program specifications. Collaborate in the definition, implementation, and execution of project management processes and methodologies like agile to ensure efficient and expedited solutions. Manage and keep control of development projects and activities using project management tools such as jira.
education & experience
level of formal education: a bachelor's degree (ba, bs) or equivalent.
area of study: statistics, computer science, engineering, or a comparable field.
years of experience: three to five years.
type of experience:
* database management systems such as sql server, oracle, sas (mandatory)
* programming languages: c#, python (mandatory)
* advanced excel with programming (mandatory)
* knowledge of the retail industry (preferably)
special certifications or technical skills:
* english - able to maintain a business conversation.
* must be able to write advanced sql queries including left joins, having, and exists conditions.
other/preferred:
* proactive with problem-solving skills.
* teamwork and collaboration.
* high degree of analysis, detail-oriented.
* ability to manage, interpret, and present information efficiently for decision-making.
* optimize business processes through information technologies.
