Position summary
the das and small cell rf design engineer iii will have ownership of the design process in multiple projects; managing in-house rf network designs, testing and documentation processes.
this position requires a diversified technical skill set and a strong understanding of cellular 5g,4g & 3g network technologies, particularly with in-building systems.

- responsible for inbuilding das and small cell system design and planning.
- perform carrier-specific, neutral host designs to support 5g/4g/3g technologies.
- perform public safety designs as per ahj requirements.
- generate rfds & plumbing diagrams.
- perform link budget analysis, power analysis, budgetary analysis.
- perform location assessment, coordination with field technicians for requirements gathering, technology/oem & product selection, autocad/ibwave modeling based on cw testing.
- develop coverage and capacity solutions for a variety of locations such as sports venues, shopping malls, hospitality and convention centers, hospitals, universities, office spaces, and transit systems.
- interface with national and regional engineering teams, field operations, third party das providers, development teams, and venue owners.
- support field teams during site construction and commissioning.

qualifications - external
skills and experience
- bs of electrical engineering or electronics and communication engineering or telecommunication engineering or computer science, m.s.
is preferred.
- experience designing smallcells using nokia mbo, ericsson dot, spidercloud is desirable
- ibwave level 2 highly preferred
- das oem certifications highly preferred
- experience in link budgets for multiple technologies/frequencies.
- experience in verizon is preferred.
- familiarity with data collection software such as tems, nemo, wind is a plus
pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per month
