*key responsibilities*:
the ethicon regional franchise lead will direct the regional marketing strategy for the franchise for key platforms and specialties.
this role will provide global alignment and representation of latam and ensure execution through strategic and marketing planning, serve as a liaison with local marketing and cluster leadership and maintain business partnerships with key functional areas.
this individual will also be responsible for bp sales and p&l achievement for the franchise.
- directs and coordinates the definition and deployment of the marketing strategy for the region.
this includes key execution of the following critical processes: long term strategic planning, business planning, marketing plans, portfolio management and development, market trends analysis, new product launches, business performance tracking, digital marketing, and multi-channel marketing
- responsible for organization design to meet enterprise objectives.
this includes size of organization and definition of work content of direct reports
- responsibility for coaching and mentoring of team, while driving a strong talent agenda and bench strength
- has a direct contribution in the development of the business strategy in the different clusters of the region; represents the franchise within the latam leadership team (lalt)
- works closely with originating company (oc); provides recommendations / input for the business unit marketing strategy, considering the region market needs
- represents latam region market requirements within the ethicon global leadership team (elt)
- coordinates and directs latam targeting, segmentation and pricing strategies for strategic brands, and conducts market research for validation
- directs and coordinates the development of marketing collateral and support materials aligned to above strategies
- champions & coordinates new product and program launches into the region incorporating lex (launch excellence)
- responsible for gathering and analyzing market intelligence reports and providing strategic feedback to the organization

- a minimum of a bachelor's level degree or equivalent is required; master's degree or equivalent in business administration (mba) is preferred.
- 15 or more years of leadership experience in a combination of sales and marketing management roles with a proven track record of achieving business results in challenging business environments
- strong marketing knowledge and skills is required
- high proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in english and spanish is required; portuguese language proficiency is preferred
- strong financial and business insight: p&l management experience required
- experience in healthcare industry, medical device/surgery markets preferred; proven ability to understand the portfolio of products
- outstanding customer centric focus and relationship building skills; experienced in developing strong partnerships across a diverse group of clinical and non-clinical partners at the highest levels, in both public and private domains
- proven success collaborating with critical internal and external partners, including considerable customer interaction
- demonstrated enterprise approach, with ability to influence and collaborate across cluster, regional and global, complex environments to achieve business objectives
- experience in shaping an agenda, defining strategies and a demonstrated understanding of how to support them with practical elements of implementation
- strong talent management capabilities: ability to mobilize and inspire large organizations.
