*responsibilities*
- supervisor multiple engineering supervisors and manager that represent different asset intensive areas.
- collaborate with asset intensive operations to advance performance (oee, tau)
- collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality to automate manual processes
- oversee equipment development, procurement, and installation activities
- develop operators, technicians, and engineers, through talent pipelines to fuel growth
- drive unification of asset data collection and display (visual management)
- create and update manufacturing procedures making sure they are in line to maximize process efficiency (shop floor layout, workflow, and assembly methods).
- define and implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement projects as part of a continuous improvement methodology.
- evaluate and coordinate manufacturing process improvements (product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, quality control).
- support and at times coordinate the purchase of new equipment based on operation requirements.
- foster broad communication and awareness of performance metrics.
- collaborate with training and production departments to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- lead cross-functional/work-stream project teams, from idea generation to concept development, detail design, fabrication, system integration and production startup in manufacturing; performs project management, documentation activities and communicate progress to management
- utilize statistical tools, engineering data, and dmaic/desgn/lean/mee methodologies to support project execution and ensure sustainability of results.
- support controls and mechanical systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance and maintenance of asset intensive systems.
- lead asset intensive team in the implementation of ikaizen and safety kaizen (ergonomic devices and processes) to enable a safe work environment;
- interface with internal and external personnel to achieve business objectives.
*education*
- bachelor of science (master's preferred) in mechanical, electrical, or systems related engineering disciplines.
*work experience*
- minimum 10 years of relevant automation, metal fabrication, and/or molding experience.
*additional skills*

- bilingual (spanish / english)
- bachelor of science degree (master's degree preferred)
- minimum 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- mastery of one or more of the asset intensive areas of automation, metal fabrication, or molding
- proven track record in project management
- knowledge of oee, tau and methods for improving
- demonstrated analytical skills
- ability to effectively communicate at various organizational levels
- ability to independently work problems with mínimal guidance
- supervisory experience in large engineering organizations
desired:
- dmaic green belt (black belt certification is a plus)
- knowledge in lean manufacturing
- knowledge of tpm
