you will facilitate a team of ndt inspectors in the inspection of manufactured or refurbished parts, ensuring that all personnel qualifications and procedures meet the applicable specification requirements and international standards.
support internal and external resources with the development and implementation of ndt/nde technologies in order to bring productivity and quality to the next level
the ndt level iii will be responsible for the overall process, including introduction of new ndt processes or techniques, training and examination of ndt personnel, ndt process improvement, auditing of ndt processes and suppliers.
will also provide technical communication on inspection and/or nde issues throughout the business including manufacturing, supplier, and field support.
as an ndt level iii process quality engineer, you will be responsible for:
- facilitating, training, and coordinating the activities of the ndt teams.
impart proper skills towards processing and inspection of all parts to ensure the needs for business in terms of inspection services are met.
- maintaining personnel expertise and formal certification in the appropriate ndt disciplines.
- developing the ndt staff with sufficient training and formal certification so that the needs of the business are adequately covered, including back-up.
- developing and approve ndt standard operating procedures, work instruction and techniques.
- functioning as the primary technical interface and engineering resource on all ndt-related issues.
- exploring constantly and seeking better ways and more efficient methods of allowing the business to perform ndt in the most optimal manner.
- standardizing equipment, procedures and processes to improve quality, realize savings and improve domain knowledge
- directing the efforts of assigned team members, providing leadership in the form of training, mentoring, talent development and checking their work
- identify, prioritize, and implement multiple concurrent process improvement projects, alone or as part of a multifunctional team, to drive customer satisfaction and business productivity
- lead product quality related activities
- work in team environment with manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, sqe and project managers to improve quality while reducing material scrap and rework cost
- provide trending analysis on quality issues and performance metrics.
present analysis and recommendations proactively to staff level.
- assist to maintain and audit the quality system established by the qms, ensuring compliance to established procedures.
- assure to manage the spares databook and material inspection to complete otd goal.
- lead the analysis for any vendor issue with spares components.
- complement and drive the qmr report from all different processes assigned.

to be successful in this role you will:
- have bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited university or college.
- hold a asnt ndt l3 certificate and have proven level iii skills in pt, mt, ut/paut & rt.
- have significant experience in a quality, operations, or engineering role (minimum 5-7 years).
- be an expert with api q1/ iso9001, api 6a and 17d, asme, astm codes specification.
- have working knowledge of quality management systems and auditing.
- have bilingual english /spanish oral and written communication skills.
- be able to lead projects, taking responsibility from project definition through stakeholder acceptance
- have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- demonstrate ability to work with tight deadlines and to organize / manage priorities.
