We are looking for an ambitious regional director of sales & events to be responsible for the sales and operations team in our office in los cabos, mexico.
the rdose's responsibilities include the implementation of innovative strategies to boost upsells and ensure maximum profitability and guarantee the operations department delivers the best service in the region.
as a regional director of sales & events you should be able to assist the company in reaching its financial objectives and to build and maintain sound working relationships with all departments.
regional director of sales & events responsibilities:
- achieve annual revenue goals by mentoring and training sales teams to achieve sales goals and personal sales goals.
- motivate the sales team to upsell.
- utilizing data base, hotel referrals, existing and past relationships, identify accounts with potential and do follow-ups.
- collaborate to best identify client's needs and solutions, attend site visits and assist with closing the business where needed.
- work with creative services/proposal to create amazing events to offer to clients for their meeting and events.
- representing connect dmc and be a spokesperson for the company, positive and knowledgeable updates at hand in the dominican republic.
- make sure the operations department is executing the company's standards and responding in a time manner to the needs of clients and sales team.
- build and maintain relationships with hotels to included continuous visits, presentations, appointments and partnerships on fam's, site inspections and other events.
- build and maintain active relationships with identified accounts.
- negotiate cost with suppliers to maximize revenue.
- creating and maintaining supplier relationships.
- identifying problems with operations team performance and addressing them.
- developing a thorough understanding of company service as well as competing companies.
- diagnosing problems with the running of the office and formulating effective solutions.
- working with the sales and operations department teams to evaluate and improve opportunities to provide better services.
- provide leadership on hiring and employee retention.
- resolve customer complaints and service issues.
- prepares and completes action plans and implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- reporting on the weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance of the office.
- create monthly sales and financial reports.
- ensure that the sales and operations team accurately enter all the information into the dmcs (pms system).
- coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- ensuring all office supplies are regularly tracked and stocked at all times.
regional director of sales & events requirements:
- bachelor's degree in hotel business or related field.
- fluent english (writing, speaking, listening and reading)
- proven experience in a senior management position.
- a proven record of meeting and exceeding financial targets.
- the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- excellent organizational skills.

- team leadership and management skills.
