mission as asset manager, you will be in charge of managing the software and hardware assets reporting to the cio office in a global and complex environment.
your responsibilities procurement and acquisition: collaborate with procurement and it teams to ensure efficient acquisition of new hardware and software assets and to help evaluate vendor proposals and contracts.
asset lifecycle management: monitor the entire lifecycle of hardware and software assets, from acquisition to disposal.
plan for asset refresh and replacement as needed to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
cost optimization: identify opportunities for cost reduction through effective asset management, like eliminating underutilized assets or negotiating better contracts.
documentation and reporting: maintain accurate records and documentation related to hardware and software assets.
generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance for management and auditing purposes.
security and data protection: collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure the security of hardware and software assets.
implement measures to protect sensitive data stored on these assets.
compliance and auditing: conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
develop and implement strategies to rectify non-compliance issues.
to succeed in this role, you need a positive and dynamic attitude as well as the following points: higher education in administration or systems engineering previous experience of 5 years or more in a similar position such as asset manager and/or systems administration.
high level of english, written and spoken.
knowledge and experience with tools like tanium or similar ones.
