Functional safety engineer
ler techforce is looking for an experienced functional safety engineer to play a crucial role in the production and development of powertrain. In this role, you can use your knowledge of iso26262 to make a difference in the automotive industry. what you will be doing:
* in this position you will be responsible for auditing and assessing the functional safety development process and outcomes to help ensure a secure, robust and resilient product solution.
* all aspects of the functional safety development, implementation and test both at our client and our sub-suppliers is within the scope.
* you will do this by providing consulting support to all of the internal stakeholders involved in the development.
* this position is within the regulatory and compliance quality team.
* plan and implement the functional safety audit/assessing activities in a project considering customer specifications, the functional safety (fusa) process and your own experience.
* perform functional safety confirmation measures on the agreed upon work products for functional safety.
* participate in the functional safety technical solutions as required by the project working with hardware and software teams as needed for the best solution.
* review the functional safety case.
* interface with supplier on technical fusa issues.
* work directly with functional safety managers and functional safety engineers to provide fusa support on projects.
* regularly report status on fusa activities and outcomes of confirmation measures.
* interface with customer fsa as required or necessary.
what you'll need to be successful:
* bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
* ideally someone that has powertrain experience but will look at other commodity areas such as clusters.
* at least 3 years of experience working with iso 26262 product development lifecycle with a focus on safety standards.
* proven experience with developing iso 26262 work products.
* proven experience in performing safety-oriented analysis such as software fta, dfmea and dfa.
* experience in general automotive ecus, components, features and operations.
* preferred would be someone that has their iso26262 certification.
