join our global process asseesment team as *(cen) process assessment advisor* to work at our corporate offices in monterrey reporting to our process assessment senior manager.
*main responsibilities*:
the process assessment advisor will provide our stakeholders, management and audit committee with an independent and objective evaluation concerning the level of exposure to risk throughout all operative and administrative processes of the organization.
to add value by helping all the operations to improve and strengthen the effectiveness of risk management and control systems.
*position challenges*:
participate in the execution of the corporate annual audit plan:
- conduct internal assessments on operative and administrative processes worldwide, to gauge the effectiveness of the internal control environment and evaluate compliance with internal and external regulations.
assess areas of significant risk and recommend improvements to the internal control environment.
- lead international audit teams, by coordinating all activities, team communication, audit timeframe, and travel budget.
- elaborate and present audit reports to the highest levels of the company.
- stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations to ensure continued effectiveness of the internal audit function.
- foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
special projects and administrative tasks
- engage in continuous improvement ideas and special projects, including education, data-management techniques, and the use of artificial intelligence.
- collaborate with the management team in a variety of administrative tasks, such as indicators monitoring, budget and expense management, high-level reporting, among others.
- design, maintain and update the audit test inventory (pacs) as the company evolves.
*qualifications*:
*requirements*:
- 3+ years' work experience in cemex's own operations or the cement industry.
familiarity with building materials' core processes (cement, ready-mix, aggregates, and related functions).
- proficiency in accounting, and basic knowledge of back-office functions.
- training in accounting, financial and process auditing is strongly desirable (sox, fcpa, coso, risk management)
- advanced oral and written communication abilities in both english and spanish, to deliver presentations and reports for the company's middle and top management.
- strategic and analytical abilities with a passion for innovation and shaping new approaches to risk management.
- willingness to travel locally and internationally (up to 20% of the year).
technical skills
- *master's degree required*:
- bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, finance, economics, or related field
- professional certifications strongly preferred (cia, cpa, cfe).
- spanish, english (bulats >= 75 or c1) required.
french or german desirable.
- sap, office, power bi are necessary.
(r, sql, python are a plus.)
